According to anecdotal records, the first settlers stumbled upon Delray Beach in the 1800s and mistook its white sandy soil as snow. However, it was later discovered that the region was replete with fertile soil which was ideal for farming. Soon enough, settlers started pouring into the region and started an agricultural boom. But true prosperity shined on Delray with the Florida land boom of 1920s during which tourism and real estate became the drivers of growth.

Modern-day Delray Beach is noted for its nightlife, dining, shopping, splendid beaches, and sunny weather that welcomes businesses and tourists alike. No wonder why it was named the “most fun small town in America”!
